Can creativity be learned, or are some people simply born creative? How would you even define creativity?<\/b> In one of the most-watched TED Talks<\/a>, Sir Ken Robinson defines creativity as the ability to come up with an original idea that has value. This means that creativity is a desirable skill regardless of your field. Some people are pre-defined as creative, while others simply claim they are not. But is that really the case? Can we learn to be creative?<\/p>\n

Can creativity be learned, or do you have to be born with it?\u00a0<\/b><\/h4>\n

In short? It can be learned. It's true that it comes more naturally and quickly to some, while others need to work on it more. However, like learning anything else, it depends on the amount of time and energy invested in developing that skill.<\/b> People who are \"naturally creative\" won't remain so if they don't work on it. The level of creativity you achieve, unfortunately or fortunately, depends solely on you.<\/p>\n

What does it take to be creative?\u00a0<\/b><\/h4>\n

Do you know how people who write become better at it?<\/b> They read a lot. They constantly work on expanding their vocabulary to be able to express themselves quickly and effectively in any situation. How do individuals who draw, paint, or design become excellent?<\/b> They constantly work on it. They observe how others do it. They study what attracts them in other people's work and how to portray it in their own way.<\/p>\n

How do some people always have ideas during brainstorming sessions?<\/b> They do extensive research on what others are doing, they follow campaigns, ideas, and projects created by others. And not just within their own field. They follow them not to copy but to gather different \"directions.\" So when they have a new task, their brain has multiple directions to explore and generate an original idea.<\/p>\n

Persistence is necessary.<\/b> And there's something else worth mentioning when it comes to the question of whether creativity can be learned. You must have an open mind.<\/b> It's challenging to be creative if you are unable to recognize a quality idea that comes from someone else. And what happens when you are creative, and AI technology emerges that can do it faster?\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Will AI replace individuals in the creative field?\u00a0<\/b><\/h4>\n

What AI will undoubtedly change is the speed of creation. It will certainly replace some jobs. <\/b>Every technology has done that so far, but it will also create new ones. If you learn to use technology to your advantage and further develop your skills, you don't need to worry.<\/p>\n

Let's put it this way, ChatGPT can write 100 blogs a day.<\/b> You can be the most creative person in the world, but you can't write 100 blogs a day. Every day. On every topic.<\/p>\n

ChatGPT could have written this blog in 13 seconds, and we have been working on it for two hours, but what exactly are we going to do with 100 blogs a day? <\/b>Will we all do it just because we can? And who will read them?<\/p>\n

Furthermore, if two individuals ask ChatGPT to write a blog on a specific topic, they will receive texts with similar conclusions. They can change the tone of voice, ask for a focus on different parts of the topic, but generally, they won't bring anything new.<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Learn to use AI to your advantage<\/b><\/h4>\n

Don't get me wrong; we are big fans<\/a> of ChatGPT. It is here to help us<\/b> find great examples for the texts we write, it can condense text (which, obviously, wasn't used here), it can present an idea in different ways, which helps us shape it as desired, and it certainly helps us with research. <\/b>We no longer have to spend four hours searching for examples we could use because it will find a list of examples in a matter of seconds, and it's up to us to choose.<\/p>\n

But there's another side!<\/b> If we had asked it to find video materials on creativity, it would have found excellent, interesting, and relevant content. However, instead, we shared an old <\/b>TED Talk from 2006.<\/b><\/a>.<\/b> Why? Because we know exactly what kind of impression it made on us when we first saw it. And we still remember it regularly. That's sharing a personal experience and a value that ChatGPT still doesn't have.<\/p>\n

So what now? Can creativity be learned?<\/b> Of course it can, but you have to work on it. AI can't do it for us, but it can certainly help us get there faster.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
